Patrice gets her Dog! This is big. Patrice now has her DEUG (to pronounce this, think of Peter Sellers as Inspector Clouseau asking "Is that your dog") in SM!! Not Sado-Masochism, but Material Science, as physics is called at the dog level. It's a first, two-year degree, but still no mean feat, for only ten percent of the students who went in one end of the DEUG program actually succeeded in coming out the other. Next stop, the Licence (one year), then the Maîtrise (one more year), then postgraduate studies. Good thing universities here are free...
