Alpine weekend
Yup. 3 hours TGV from Paris to Grenoble, pick up a car at the station, drive for an hour and boom, we can have goat for lunch. That's the beauty of France.
There was a trail running competition here that day (we did not participate). The competitors started in Valloire and had to go over the Galibier pass and back. I would guess it was pushing 20 miles and around 5000 feet of vertical climbing. These guys were blowing by us on the trail, running. Total animals. The wide angle makes it look less steep than it is. Patrice and I both got heel blisters, hers were pretty bad actually.
Lunch. Actually it was peanut butter sandwiches. This creature was more interested in eating the camera.
