Nonza
Nonza is a cliffside village on Cape Corse. (It is also the name a of gerbil). Our house was just amazing. We entered off the tiny village square and came out the other end on a balcony 100 meters over the water. Kids played on the square until the wee hours.

Lizards
We saw about 400 million lizards. That would make about 1600 lizards for each permanent resident...

Tolla
Tolla is a village in the mountains above Ajaccio (it is also the name of a gerbil). Lake Tolla provides fresh water and electricity to the population living in the urban valley below. You don't need to go further than here to escape the tourists, even in August. The mountains beyond Tolla are even more remote; in two days of hiking we saw only cows and lizards.
